A TRAUMA INFORMED MEMOIR WORKSHOP: Restorying: —Three Tuesdays
This three-week, trauma-informed memoir class is designed for writers who feel called to explore personal experience with courage, care, and craft. Whether you are just beginning to approach difficult material or returning to a story you’ve carried for years, this workshop offers a structured, supportive space to write at your own pace.
Grounded in the principles of safety, choice, collaboration, trust, and empowerment, our work together prioritizes your emotional well-being as much as your artistic growth. You won't be pressured to share more than you wish. We focus not on disclosure for its own sake, but on agency; how to shape experience into story on your terms.
BRAVE ON THE PAGE™ WORKSHOP: Epilepsy Foundation Michigan

SPEAKER + WORKSHOP LEADER: PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE
The Public Policy Institute (TSU) is one of the Epilepsy Foundation of America's signature advocacy initiatives. This conference brings together people living with epilepsy, family members, local Epilepsy Foundation office staff, healthcare providers, and volunteers from across the country to make a difference. Participants living with epilepsy and a family member have the opportunity to visit the nation's capital to receive advocacy training and meet with their lawmakers to share their experiences and discuss issues that are vital to the epilepsy community.

PANELIST: Generation to Generation Workshop: How parent-child relationships impact our lives
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, this workshop will be discussing such issues as —
Identifying events or patterns in our own childhood or teen years that stem from our relationship with our own parents and how they can spill over into our adult relationships and affect our mental health throughout our lives.
Understanding how the experiences of our parents affected and may have limited their ability to parent us and our siblings in a healthy manner.
Learning how to address these issues and break the generational cycles with our own children and grandchildren without swinging the pendulum too far in the opposite direction. (Absent parent v. helicopter parent)
How to effectively co-parent with a spouse that is affected by childhood trauma.
